First thing first; My name is Veronica, I'm 15, black in a mostly white community, optimistic about most things, always dreaming of the future and what it holds. I'm not too sure what the message of this blog will be.. maybe it'll be a changing thing over time. Every week, maybe more than once a week sometimes, i'm going to post about what's happening in my life. What obstacles I'm facing. I guess the main reason i started this is because in the last year I've been through a lot (typical teenage bullshit, but it did hurt) and i had become so different, so cynical, bitter and constantly worrying about everything. How people felt about me, how people saw me, what people thought. I have a tradition for my birthday, i make a pact. This year on my birthday, I decided that for this whole year I'm not going to sweat the small things. I'm just going to go with the flow, mine specifically. Already at 15, there's so much i want to do with my life, i'm wasting valuable time here! This year is the year that i'm reclaiming myself, and doing some soul searching. I invite everyone who wishes to join me for the ride to come along.
